Instagram user and Chili’s mom posted the video, capturing this well-known struggle in the snow. She shows Chili having an absolute blast while she tries not to turn into an icicle.

In the video, the Golden Retriever is out in the snow with his mom, looking incredibly stylish in a teal snowsuit that covers his legs. He is in full zoomie mode. The happy pup sprints through the yard, jumping and digging through the snow. He rolls around, tail wagging, clearly not noticing how people around him might be freezing.
Then, Chili’s mom flips the camera to herself. She is standing perfectly still, wearing a massive brown puffer coat, looking like she is just trying to survive the outing as she jokes in the on-screen caption: “it’s his world. I’m just freezing in it”.
In the caption, she further jokes about the demand for an audience, writing, “mommm watch this!!! as I stand there with frostbite.” She also asks a question that haunts every dog parent come December: “why do dogs require us to be out in the cold with them to do their independent playing… I’ll never understand.”
