CityVet, a growing network of veterinarian-owned practices serving pets for more than 25 years, will open its doors in West 7th (Fort Worth) on December 22. Located at 2501 W 7th Street in Fort Worth, Texas, the new clinic will be led and owned by Dr. Alex Aronoff.
CityVet West 7th will offer a comprehensive range of services, including preventative care, diagnostics, wellness plans, dental care, pain management, and general and advanced surgical procedures. Dr. Aronoff and his team will also focus on cardiology, neurology, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. In addition to caring for dogs and cats, the clinic will also see small mammals and select reptiles, reflecting his broad experience and passion for helping a variety of pets live their healthiest lives.
For Dr. Aronoff, the opening of CityVet West 7th represents the culmination of a lifelong love of animals and more than a decade of dedication to veterinary medicine. Growing up surrounded by pets, from dogs and rabbits to hermit crabs, he was captivated early on by the works of James Herriot, which inspired his sense of empathy and curiosity about animal care. Before pursuing his DVM, Dr. Aronoff built a strong foundation in communication and leadership through an early career in marketing and nonprofit management, experiences that continue to shape his collaborative, client-focused approach today.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Texas A&M University, Dr. Aronoff worked in youth leadership development with an international nonprofit, where he honed his ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and guide others through complex decisions. In 2009, he followed his calling to veterinary medicine, completing post-baccalaureate studies at UT Dallas and earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016.
Since then, he has practiced in both privately owned and corporate hospitals across Texas. Known for his expertise in internal medicine and his commitment to client education, Dr. Aronoff takes pride in helping pet owners fully understand their pet’s care.
“Client education is the cornerstone of great veterinary care,” said Dr. Aronoff. “I want every pet owner to understand not just what we’re doing, but why. That shared understanding helps us make the best possible decisions together for their pet’s health and well-being.”
Choosing the West 7th area was a deeply personal decision for Dr. Aronoff and his family.
“This clinic represents the culmination of ten years of passion and drive,” he shared. “It’s the realization of a lifelong dream to offer the very best of myself to my patients and community.”
“Dr. Aronoff’s path to ownership is a powerful example of what CityVet stands for, empowering veterinarians to practice with passion and purpose,” said David Boguslawski, CEO and President of CityVet. “His drive, compassion, and commitment to both his patients and his team make him the ideal leader to serve the Fort Worth community.”
